My Instrumental Goals
My Instrumental Goals Include:
Goal Number One:
Extend my vocal range within 6 months by two octaves.
My Target:
Gain knowledge from my singing tutor and keep practising singing different scales over a period of a 6 months. Practise warm up techniques before performances and at home to extend my vocal range.
Goal Number Two:
Gain further knowledge of my diaphragm and learn to use it regularly within 3 months.
My Target:
Work with my singing tutor and research different techniques that will help me identify the correct use of the diaphragm when performing in order to achieve the more powerful notes within songs and performances.
Goal Number Three:
Gain a deeper understanding of my head voice in order to help me perform to the best of my ability within a period of 4-5 months.
My Target:
Focus on warm ups in my singing lessons to help me identify which octave is the transition in which my head voice lies in. Work with my singing teacher on songs that will consist of using my head voice in hopes of making it stronger and gain understanding of how to work with my head voice.
Goal Number Four:
Complete this course.
My Target:
Keep thinking about the end goal 6 months. When the course gets difficult, DO NOT QUIT. Keep reminding myself about the end goal and the qualification and how it will benefit myself.
Goal Number Five:
Gain confidence to perform on stage to the best of my ability.
My Target:
Keep getting myself out of my comfort zone, see a therapist 1 year. Keep taking opportunities no matter how nervous I am to do them because it will build my confidence. Keep meeting new people and have a singing mentor/therapist that will help me deal with confidence issues when performing.
